- http://www.learnoutloud.com/Free-Audio-Video This directory features free audio books, lectures, speeches, sermons, interviews, and many other audio and video resources. Most audio titles can be downloaded in digital formats such as MP3 and most video titles are available to stream online.
- http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast.php?id=1032 Book Matters: A series of recent podcasts from NPR which features book reviews, and interviews with authors. There are also items on current issues in the book world, such as instances of recent plagiarism and a lawsuit over choice of books in schools.
Databases
- Thomson-Gale database subscriptions: T-G has announced the addition of podcast feeds to Info_Trac* on Thomson Gale Power_Search and its Student Resource Center, Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center, and History Resource Center databases.
Academic
While a number of universities are developing podcasts, vodcasts, etc. please keep in mind that not all podcasts/mediacasts will be available to the public:
- http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ From within iTunes you can locate education related podcasts through the music store --> podcasts --> education. Keep an eye out: iTunesU is coming soon
